Michael Reinhardt was born in Los Angeles, California, February 20, 1938.〔http://www.michaelreinhardt.com/bio.htm〕 He is the grandson of the theatre and motion picture director Max Reinhardt. His father Wolfgang Reinhardt was also a film producer and screenwriter. His mother, Lally was an artist. His grandmother the actress Helene Thimig〔American Photo Nov-Dec 2006 p87〕 Michael is the oldest of three children.
